They give a realistic, honest and authentic picture of their adventure in the Algarve. Our ambassadors tell you the real story of the Algarve.
My name is Janneke van Gelder, 76 years old and single. When I open the curtains in the morning and the sun greets me, I am immediately happy and grateful that I can be here. I can recommend it to every pensioner and do. In the Algarve you can really relax and the sun shines practically every day! The Uber, bus or your feet will take you where you want cheaply or for free... and a drink on a terrace is still very affordable here (wine €2 , beer €1 , cup of coffee € 1 , meal €8 ).
I have decided to return every winter to my home in Portugal!
We are Ton and Eugenie Vermeer, happily married for over 40 years and living in cozy Hoorn. Working life has now been exchanged for more peace, time for each other and the (grand)children. During the winter period we look for the sun... and what started as a holiday of a few weeks has now become a fixed ritual of 8-10 weeks in the Algarve. Within half a day you will be in the most beautiful and warmest environment in Europe! Take some time for each other and enjoy nature, beautiful villages, the beach and the culinary Algarve together!
